Punitive law reflects the stage of development of political and legal culture in a particular county or society since it can effectively intervene in fundamental human rights and freedoms with the provisions of substantive and procedural law. This is why attorneys at law play an important role in punitive law – as the guardians of these rights and freedoms, and at the same time create conditions for their realization and development.
With profound knowledge of substantive and procedural law, attorneys in our office provide legal advice and represent natural and legal persons involved in police procedures (police, state prosecutor’s office) or criminal proceedings (before Slovene and international courts) as suspects and defendants.
In collaboration with experts in the area of commercial law, we pay special attention to providing legal advice and representing natural and legal persons involved in police procedures and criminal proceeding due to criminal offences in the business area (e.g. fake bankruptcy, causing bankruptcy with bad management, creating monopoly position, causing damage to creditors, unauthorized use of a trademark or model, breach of commercial confidentiality, abuse of inside information, abuse of authority or rights).
We also provide legal advice to victims of criminal offences and represent them as aggrieved parties in criminal proceedings with the intention of enforcing financial claims (e.g. due to the return of items, revocation of a legal transaction, payment of damages) or criminal prosecution of perpetrators upon proposal or private prosecution (e.g. due to criminal offences against honor and reputation, wrongful tapping, sound recording and video recording, unauthorized publication of private letters).
Our law office is also active in the area of petty crime, providing advice and representing natural and legal persons in the wide area of petty offences - from tax, customs, market, traffic and other petty offences.
